These terms apply to your use of boringweb.gallery (“boringweb”, “we”, “us”), run by Dexter Washington. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
What boringweb is
boringweb is a curated gallery of websites for service businesses. You can browse it without an account. With an account, you can save sites, sections and screens to boards to come back to later, and get a key for the boringweb MCP server, which lets an AI agent search the gallery.
Your account
- You can sign in with an email code, Google or X. You must give an email address you control.
- Keep access to your email and sign-in accounts secure. You are responsible for activity on your boringweb account.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account.
- One person per account. Don’t create accounts by automated means or pretend to be someone else.
- Your MCP key is for you. Don’t share it or use it to get around the limits on the MCP server.
Signing in with Google or X does not let us post, like, follow or message anyone on your behalf, and we never will.
Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- scrape, copy or republish the gallery in bulk, or use automated tools that put unreasonable load on the site;
- try to break, probe or get around the site’s security;
- use the site for anything unlawful or to harm others.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Content in the gallery
The websites, images and posts featured in the gallery belong to their owners, including the businesses, designers and studios that made them. We feature them to credit and showcase their work, and link back to the original wherever we can. Featuring something does not mean we own it or that its owner endorses boringweb.
If you own work shown on boringweb and want it credited differently or removed, email hello@boringweb.gallery and we will act promptly.
The site’s own design, curation, text and code belong to boringweb.
Third-party services
The site links to other websites and uses Google and X for sign-in. We don’t control those services, and their own terms and policies apply when you use them.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@boringweb.gallery. We may close accounts that break these terms, or stop offering the service, with reasonable notice where we can.
No warranty
boringweb is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don’t promise it will always be error-free or online, or that the information about featured websites (such as credits or launch dates) is complete.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, boringweb and Dexter Washington are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. The site is free to use, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users by email or on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
